This super-moisturising balm leaves lips feeling softer and smoother. What’s good thing about this Lip Butter is all profits from each sale will go to charity!

I just love the smell and feel of this product. I use this as a base before applying ANY lip color. this will prevent your lips from drying caused by lipsticks or just by natural causes. I personally used this product as well and i really feel ultimate hydration in my lips. I also tested this product to my friend who used a very MATTE red lip color and the results were exceptional. Another thing is, this Lip Butter also prevents your lip color from bleeding/ feathering.

The organization of three million members and counting focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: in factory farms, laboratories, the clothing trade, and the entertainment industry. PETA Asia-Pacific works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns. With your vote, we hope animal cruelty can come to an end.

Defend Human Rights- CHILDHOPE ASIA PHILIPPINES

An organization whose principal purpose is to advocate for the cause of street children throughout the world. It works toward the liberation of children from suffering caused by working and living on the street. Since its establishment in 1986, it has provided alternative education opportunities and psychosocial support for street children in Manila. Its programs include value clarification, basic literacy and numeracy, para-legal education, educational assistance, and non-formal education, sports and recreation, and health education and counseling. With your vote, Childhope’s mission can get more street children away from harm and pave a road toward a brighter future.

All three organizations will benefit by the end of the campaign. Proceeds from the sale of the Dragon Fruit Lip Butter will be divided between the 3 orgs.

The organization with the most votes receives 50% percent of the total funds, while the second highest receives 30% percent, and the third rank gets 20% percent.

The Body Shop goes Virtual

 

The Body Shop Philippines launched this month a virtual movement that aims to put an end to the use of plastic membership cards issued to its “Love Your Body” rewards programme members.

Dubbed “Love Your Body loves Green,” this virtual shift is one of the many ways wherein the company—being an ethical and natural brand—is able to further its commitment to protect the planet, one of the five pillar Values of The Body Shop.

The Body Shop Philippines is also the first-ever The Body Shop market in the Asia-Pacific to adopt this kind of technology that enables its members to conveniently access their LYB membership/ rewards programme anytime, anywhere using an iPad, iPhone, or iPhone 3G/4s.

I find this feature so convenient because i don’t have to bring my membership card with me all the time or I don’t have to worry if I left it at home.

My Virtual Membership Card. This will be scanned in all Bodyshop Outlets nationwide upon purchase of any Body Shop Products. Just show your Iphone/Ipad/Ipod at the cashier.

For the first phase, the virtual cards can be accessed through an iPad, iPhone, or iPhone.  And in two months’ time, other Android Smartphones will have access to it.

TBS Philippines is aiming to encourage as many members as they can, both new and existing, to support the movement by switching to the virtual card.  This way, according to the company, they are able to promote a collective movement that aims to reduce carbon emissions.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A GLOBAL ADVOCATE
FOR THE BODY SHOP?


I have long been an advocate of the potential of using business and
consumer power to cause positive change. The Body Shop takes
a responsible attitude to people and the environment, and it feels
amazing to be supporting a brand who are pioneers in that way of
working.

 

HOW DO YOU FEEL THAT THE CURRENT GENERATION’S
VIEWS OF BEAUTY ARE CHANGING?


I feel like people are questioning superfi cial values and looking for real
value instead. True beauty comes from within, and I feel that more and
more people are beginning to realise that.

 

WHAT DOES BEAUTY WITH HEART MEAN TO YOU?


There is nothing more attractive than someone with a beautiful
heart – it just shines out. It is so contradictory to seek external beauty
through products at the cost of other living beings. To me, beauty with
heart means trying to achieve beauty in a way that is harmonious
with your inner values.

 

HOW HAS THE BODY SHOP INSPIRED YOU TO THINK
DIFFERENTLY ABOUT BEAUTY?


The fact that The Body Shop was selling Henna when I was growing
up defi nitely suggested that red hair was cool – before I was wise
enough to recognise that myself! There is a natural quality to
The Body Shop approach which places its emphasis on enhancing
– rather than masking people’s faces!

 

HOW DO YOUR PERSONAL VALUES COMPARE WITH THE FIVE
CORE VALUES OF THE BODY SHOP?


The Body Shop has fi ve distinct Values which have defi ned and
shaped it from its very beginning, and which I also identify with.

I am still learning and growing, and discovering what is important to
me is an educational and very personal process. I’m involved with
the humanitarian and environmental causes that are important to me
because I believe that our planet and the people who live on it are
incredibly special. If I can help inspire people in some small way to
think about the world they live in and how they can make it a better
place through their own personal actions and choices, then that makes
me happy. This is just one of the reasons why I am working alongside
The Body Shop.

 

HOW DO YOU LIVE YOUR VALUES ON A DAILY LEVEL?


My personal values boil down to my intention: the intention to
be aware, to be kind, to be honest, to make informed choices.
The intention is everything, though the reality will inevitably
sometimes fall short. No one is perfect!


WHAT INSPIRED YOUR INTEREST IN ACTIVISM?


All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do
nothing” – Edmund Burke. I used to have that quote on my bedroom
door growing up! I’m not saying I’m a good man, but I think as soon as
you are aware of injustices you have a responsibility to try and address
them… so I guess some of it is inspired by some sort of guilt complex!

 

HOW CAN OTHER PEOPLE GET INVOLVED?


I am still constantly trying to fi nd and know my own truth, to be
fearless. I’m not sure there is ever an end to this. Being strong enough
to stand within that position of difference and honouring your voice is
the fi rst step towards activism. I believe it’s the small steps that matter.

 

WHAT ELSE ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON?


I have three fi lms coming out this year, and am working on a very
exciting, fairly radical, project in the social media space.

Continuing its long tradition of helping global and local communities, The Body Shop Philippines has tapped Tahanang Walang Hagdanan Inc. to create crates from wooden pallets, used in the shipment of their lovely beauty products from the United Kingdom.

 

 

Through these simple crates, the brand is able to live its core values especially activating self esteem, protecting the planet, and supporting community fair trade. Through these wooden boxes, The Body Shop is proud to take part in the livelihood program of Tahanang Walang Hagdanan and strengthen the sense of purpose of orthopedically challenged Filipinos.

 

Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, Inc. is a non—stock, non—profit and non—government organization that aims to uplift the lives of the orthopedically handicapped persons. It was founded by Sr. Valeriana Baerts, ICM.A Belgian nun who was assigned as a volunteer nurse here in the Philippines. Located in Cainta Rizal, it has five workshops, six dormitories for trainees who came from far provinces. It is a rehabilitation and skills training center with sheltered workshops where the people with disabilities are trained to be productive and self-reliant members of the society.

 

 

Made from used pallets from their cargo, the crates are tangible proof that The Body Shop practices the 3 Rs it espouses — reduce, reuse, recycle. Turning the pallets into wooden crates is a testament to the many ways The Body Shop tries to protect our planet.
